I am a licensed professional counselor in Georgia, California, Florida, and South Carolina. I support individuals who are 18+ who are struggling in areas of their lives that are impacted by childhood trauma, such as work, relationships, family, and friendships.
I work from a somatic lens and integrate somatic interventions into my work. Due to trauma being held in the body, working somatically allows us to reconnect to our bodies when they have been dysregulated for so long. I take a slow, curious approach to my work with my clients while asking for permission and attuning to their needs. It can be scary and uncomfortable to reconnect to what has felt overwhelming for so long, and supporting my clients in taking a slow and steady approach to reconnecting with their emotions and bodies again can reduce the fear and anxiety about doing so.
I am trained in Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
