Juliana Carter, M.Ed, LPC

Juliana is a Licensed Professional Counselor holding a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Georgia. She is a proud member and advocate of the LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC communities. Recognized as a genuine, humble, and compassionate leader, her intrinsic motivation to help others succeed and lead fulfilling lives guided her toward a career in counseling. Juliana's clinical approach emphasizes creating an environment of acceptance, care, and authenticity. She demonstrates the same compassion and care in her personal life as she does in her professional practice.

Early in her career, she specialized in anxiety disorders under the direction of Dr. Rebecca Beaton (a well renowned Psychologist and anxiety specialist), at the Anxiety and Stress Management Institute. Here, she developed a specialty in working with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with social phobia, anxiety, OCD, and relationship issues. She uses behavioral approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), alongside a comprehensive “inside-out” methodology. This involves fostering self-awareness, creating meaning, and developing insight and mastery into thought patterns, emotions, and core beliefs. She is a strong advocate for client empowerment and understands the significant impact of stress and anxiety on multiple areas of life including relationships, family, occupational, finances, and spirituality.

Additionally, Juliana is a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200), focusing on mindfulness meditation, breath work, and relaxation techniques. She harnesses the restorative power of the mind-body connection to help her clients use their minds and bodies as instruments for growth. Throughout the therapeutic journey, Juliana is dedicated to making her clients feel valued and honored for their individuality. Her passion and joy lie in helping people recognize and celebrate their unique gifts. There is a place in the world for you just the way you are.
